Lori Bongiorno is an environmental journalist and author of the recently published GREEN, GREENER, GREENEST: A Practical Guide to Making Eco-Smart Choices a Part of Your Life. The user-friendly guide to healthy and environment-friendly living covers everything from reading the labels of organic food to how to dispose of your old laptop. It helps readers choose the advice that fits their schedule, their budget, and their interests, with the understanding that there is never one "right way" to make a difference. Throughout the book she presents a three-tiered system of solutions, from easy and inexpensive, "green," to those requiring more effort and commitment, "greenest."

Lori has reported on a wide range of topics from green cleaning products to alternative energy since 2002 with work appearing in The Green Guide, Glamour, Women’s Health, and Verdant magazines, among other publications. She wrote a bi-monthly Green, Greener, Greenest Solutions column for Plenty Magazine. Lori was on staff at Business Week Magazine for six years before becoming a freelance writer.
