Proven benefits of a walk in the park

City dweller? Feeling a bit peaky? Chances are you haven't been spending enough time in your local park.  

Researchers from two Scottish universities have discovered that even a small green space in an urban area can help reduce incidences of strokes and heart disease within the local population and effectively cut 'the health gap' between rich and poor.  

They're calling for councils to create more green spaces to improve wellbeing amongst their residents. Viva the park bench!
